So happy to report that the church in Elmhurst, NY, is continuing to use our Bible courses. They have just registered 31 new people to take our Diaconía Course (a course on the responsibilities of deacons and elders and how to be an effective leader in the church and community). This church just graduated 16 people after completing all of our Bible courses. They faithfully studied for four years to accomplish this.
While our normal work of constantly providing biblical resources and studies to our Spanish pastors and leaders, we had an enormous “side-road” that took much time, prayer, and effort all of June:
One of our beloved Cuban pastor families became refugees, and we were able to help them get to Montreal, Canada. It has been an emotional journey for them — and for us. Now the hardest part of all begins as they try to get accustomed to a new life, language, culture, friends, climate – EVERYTHING! Pray for them, and please pray for Caleb, their 15-year-old son, who needs a friend. Their desire is to see where God will lead them in a new country.
"Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the LORD." Psalm 40:3b
