I have been writing a family update for many years now. It started when I married widowed Les – and his three boys, Ken, Dan and Gregg – some 64 years ago. A year later, God gave us another son: Ed.
Our family has grown to 57 of us, and I feel blessed beyond measure. This year, I want you to focus on my 22 great-grandchildren – each one a gift from God for me to love and pray for. If you have read my book, An Unexpected Love Story, you know I married Les even though I hardly knew him. But I knew in my heart it was God’s path for me, and I trusted Him. He was a wonderful husband, father, preacher, teacher, author, and LOGOI’s founder and yes, I miss him every day. But today, I get to see his reflection in our 22 great-grandchildren as I am reminded of God’s faithfulness.
Adding to my 22 great-grandchildren are many hundreds in my extended LOGOI Spanish-speaking family. I am in touch with so many and love my role of being their encourager and prayer partner.
Like my 22 great-grandchildren, so many are “toddlers” in their faith. They are eager to serve and please the Lord and we at LOGOI have the joy of helping them grow in knowledge and faith in the Lord. Others are grown and moving forward with their lives and ministries. They need good old-fashioned encouragement, prayer, and reminders to trust their Lord and Savior even when it’s dark and difficult.

What a great “job” God has given this Great Grandma! As long as the Lord continues giving me health and strength, I press on. And of course, you encourage me more than you know. Thank you so much for your partnership with us at LOGOI. Your gifts help us keep going and raising more and more “grandchildren” to joyfully live and proclaim the Good News.
I love thinking and praying for my wonderful great-grandchildren. Each one is full of their special God-given personalities and traits. My hope and prayer for them is the same I have for my “Hispanic grandchildren” and you, too: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Forever grateful to be in God's family,

I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you" (Isaiah 46:4).
